Can't Hear My Eyes - THERE MUST BE SOME WAY TO AVOID THIS PAIN: Trim The Barber

Thanks to Tom Walters for writing about 'Always Delayed' on his punk, garage, surf-lo-fi-twinkly-pop-blog: CAN'T HEAR MY EYES. Read his post from 28th July here:

Here's what he said:

“When did The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart get so angsty?” is the first thought to run through my head when I heard London-based punk-goes-shoegazersTrim The Barber and their track Always Delayed. Dripping with lethargy and a sense of melancholy that the title itself carries with pretty much everyone, the four-piece’s Ramsay Cooper wails and croons through a wall of reverb and noise that suddenly bursts into a euphoric, dream-like masterpiece that craves to belong on pre-90′s Creation Records.

Juxtaposed between their shoegaze roots and a thirst for punk, Trim The Barber are true contenders in the U.S. alt-rock grubby-sweater-slacker revival and a record couldn’t come sooner.

Check out more from the band over on their BandCamp page.
